The formation and development of the Customs
Minsk Central Customs was established on March 10, 1992 on the basis of the Minsk regional branch of the automated control system of the Main research computational centre of the Customs Committee of the USSR. Originally, Minsk Central Customs completed the tasks of customs statistics conduction, automation of service activity, centralized logistics and technical equipment.
Initially, there was a customs clearance point "Central customs- 1"operating in the customs activity zone, where the clearance of goods and vehicles imported to the address of diplomatic missions of foreign States was conducted. International organizations have repeatedly noted the high level of culture and skills of officials. Being one of the leaders in the customs system of the Republic of Belarus is truly justified –main activities are the introduction of the newest information technologies, the analysis of the results of customs operations, the ensuring information security, keeping statistics, centralized logistics and technical equipment of the Belarusian customs.
Today Minsk Central customs effectively provide the work of informational systems, take operational measures for the resolution of emergency situations. It is possible to complete current tasks on a high level thanks to the modern hardware and software which have a resource for further development. In this way, any information about foreign economic activity of the subject – as what was imported and when, the value of the goods and its quantity – can be obtained within a day that proves the 24/7 automatic exchange of information with the customs authorities of the Eurasian Economic Union.
